Research and Studies


Organization conducts research and studies related especially in all of our focus areas. These research and studies aid in giving insights for improvement and innovation of Arpan’s interventions. Arpan is involved in many studies including national level study titled “Strengthening the participatory process in watershed development projects in India”. Detailed topographical and socio-economic surveys along with data analysis and usage of technology like GIS (Geographical Information Systems) mapping is our forte. We also conducted pre and post project studies to evaluate impact of the programs in line with their objectives.

With the support of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) a baseline study of 1000 families conducted for Ratlam, Neemuch and Mandsour districts of Madhya Pradesh regarding the current status of safe drinking water facilities in the area. The baseline study identified problems regarding presence of floride in potable water, etc.

Arpan has conducted a situational analysis of Community Lift Irrigation Schemes in Pratapgarh, Banswara, Dungarpur and Banswara districts with the support of Tribal Area Development Department, GoR
