Dr. Subh Karan Singh is the visionary founder of ArpanSevaSansthan, driven by a deep commitment to empowering rural communities through sustainable livelihoods. With a background in Agricultural Engineering, a Master’s in Technology and a Doctorate in the field, he has consistently championed the integration of technology, knowledge and community participation to drive rural transformation. Under his leadership, Arpan has grown from a 20-member team to over 500 professionals, expanding its work from natural resource management & agriculture to livelihoods, water security, health, sanitation & education. With over 25 years of experience, he has led impactful initiatives reaching more than 600,000 rural families, continuing to build resilient and self-reliant communities across India.
Er. Rajesh Jain, an engineering graduate from the College of Technology and Engineering, Udaipur, is a key member of ArpanSevaSansthan. With over two decades of experience, he brings strong project management skills and technical expertise in Natural Resource Management. He has been closely aligned with Arpan’s vision, supporting program teams to drive ground-level impact. As Treasurer, he oversees financial management, ensuring transparency and strong governance.
He is an Engineering Graduate with more than 22 years of experience in topographical survey works and project implementation of watershed and water resource development projects. He has fervor for ensuring quality in works and managing program teams for timely completion of roles and responsibilities with focus on key result areas and deliverables. He is also an expert in overall organizational administration.
Mrs. Monisha Sajjan is a postgraduate in Human Development & Family Studies with a strong commitment to inclusive development, particularly for women and children. With over 15 years of experience, she specializes in mentoring, training, and counselling youth, along with expertise in gender sensitization and women’s empowerment. She has also served as a Guest Faculty at the College of Home Science, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, contributing to academic and capacity-building initiatives.
Mr. Varun Sharma is a seasoned development professional with over 20 years of experience across responsible business practices, occupational health in the unorganized sector, and policy advocacy. An Agricultural Engineer with degrees in Law and an MBA in Human Resource Development, he brings a multidisciplinary perspective to development initiatives. He currently serves as Director – Programmes at ARAVALI (Association for Rural Advancement through Voluntary Action and Local Involvement), an autonomous institution of the Government of Rajasthan. He is also the founder of the Sustainability Forum on Natural Stone (SFNS) and a member of the Stop Child Labour India core group, actively contributing to multi-stakeholder engagement and advocacy on critical social issues.
Dr. Mahendra Kumar Chalka is the Director and promoter of ChalkaAgritechPvt. Ltd., with a strong academic foundation in Agronomy, holding a Ph.D. from Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, Udaipur. With over two decades of experience in agribusiness, he has worked with leading organizations in India, including DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd., and internationally in Nigeria with Afriventures/KewalramChanrai Group, leading seed business and market development initiatives. Combining rich academic and global industry experience, he has established a sustainable agribusiness ecosystem that enhances farmer livelihoods while delivering value to end consumers.
Sh. RamjilalBadsara is an agriculture expert with over 20 years of experience in enhancing farm productivity and livelihoods through his association with Krishi Vigyan Kendra and the Extension Education Department of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur. Since 2005, he has specialized in Integrated Farming Systems (IFS), promoting diversified farm interventions—including crop diversification, horticulture, livestock, and agroforestry—to reduce risk and improve farmer incomes. He also brings strong expertise in frontline demonstrations, organic agriculture, and applied agricultural research.
Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore is an eminent academician and administrator with extensive experience in higher education and agricultural sciences. As the former Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur and SKN Agriculture University, Jobner, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership in advancing agricultural education and research. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Rathore has made significant contributions to academic development and institutional growth. His expertise spans agricultural engineering, renewable energy, and sustainable development practices. He has been instrumental in fostering industry-academia partnerships and promoting innovation in agricultural technology.
Dr. P.K. Singh Dr. P.K. Singh is a renowned academic and water management expert with more than 36 years of distinguished experience in watershed management, rainwater harvesting, groundwater hydrology, and community engagement initiatives. Currently serving as the Project Director for Unnat Bharat Abhiyan at IIT Delhi, Dr. Singh brings exceptional leadership and technical expertise to water conservation efforts across India. In his previous role as Professor and Dean at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, Rajasthan, he spearheaded numerous groundbreaking research projects. His innovative work in GIS-based groundwater mapping and development of low-cost rainwater harvesting technologies has been widely implemented throughout southern Rajasthan, significantly improving water accessibility in the region. Dr. Singh continues to serve as a technical advisor to the Government of Rajasthan, where he provides crucial guidance on natural resource management. His particular focus on community-based initiatives in tribal regions has created lasting positive impact on sustainable development and water security in vulnerable communities.
Dr. Abhay Mehta is a distinguished engineering professional with 38 years of comprehensive experience spanning academia, research, and administration. As the former Director of Research and Consultancy at MPUAT, Udaipur, and member of the Board of Management, Dr. Mehta has demonstrated exceptional leadership in academic administration. His expertise extends beyond traditional engineering disciplines, encompassing research planning, project development, and specialized knowledge in agricultural engineering and ergonomics. Dr. Mehta's influence in the field is further evidenced by his role as Director at RSSCL, Jaipur, and his chairmanship of the Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers, Rajasthan Chapter. Beyond his technical contributions, he has established himself as an impactful motivational speaker, focusing on character development, personality growth, and talent enhancement among students and professionals.
Mr. Mukesh Gupta is a distinguished expert in Food, Agriculture, and Environmental sectors, with exceptional proficiency in strategic planning, business development, consumer behavior analysis, and technological innovation. His comprehensive understanding of sustainable practices and market dynamics has made him a valuable advisor to various stakeholders in the agricultural sector. His impressive track record includes mentoring over 1,000 startups in the Food, Agriculture, and Environment sectors, demonstrating his commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. As a trusted advisor to the Government of India, multiple international governments, global organizations, private enterprises, and prestigious academic institutions, Mr. Gupta brings valuable insights to complex agricultural challenges. Mr. Gupta's expertise specifically encompasses Climate Action, ESG principles, Food Processing technologies, Agricultural Value Chain optimization, Biotechnology applications, Organic Farming practices, and the integration of IT solutions in agriculture. His particular strength lies in developing effective grass-root level communication strategies that bridge the gap between technological innovation and practical implementation.
Dr. Lokesh Gupta is a distinguished academic leader and researcher with over 20 years of extensive experience in teaching, research, and extension in animal production and dairy technology. Currently serving as the Dean and Professor at the College of Dairy and Food Technology, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, his expertise spans animal production, animal nutrition, and poultry production. His innovative research has led to the development of 66 groundbreaking technologies in animal production, covering areas such as area-specific mineral mixtures, draught animal power, camel nutrition, and organic poultry farming. These technologies have been incorporated into the Package of Practice (PoP) of the Department of Agriculture, Government of Rajasthan. His significant contributions to livestock development include the registration of three goat breeds (Sojat, Gujari, and Karauli) and the ongoing development of the Pratapdhan Poultry Variety. His commitment to community development is reflected in his establishment of three Farmers Producers Organizations (FPOs), five Self Help Groups (SHGs), and extensive outreach activities for benefitting of farmers.
