The Arpan and DS Group have collaborated to implement the W.E.Z. project "Creation of Water Economic Zones through Integrated Watershed Development" in Barud gram panchayat of Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh. The primary goal of the project is to improve the quality of life for the rural community through sustainable livelihood enhancement by focusing on Natural Resource Management. The project primarily revolves around water, with a strong emphasis on conservation and harvesting through various interventions to enhance agricultural productivity and allied activities, thus supporting the livelihoods of the local families.

Implementing watershed Ridge to Valley Approach to conserve surface water and ensure adequate storage of runoff, thereby improving the soil moisture regime.
Following the watershed approach to control soil erosion and facilitate sedimentation in the water spread area, enhancing soil fertility and productivity.
Enhancing the availability of clean drinking water for the community and their livestock in the project area.
Building community capacity and knowledge management to manage and maintain natural resources and assets, establishing a water resource center.
Constructed various water harvesting structures, including Earthen Tanks, Tank Deepening, Anicuts, and Ring Check Dam cum Puliya, resulting in a total water storage capacity of 79,000 cubic meters.
Expanded irrigated area by 20 hectares, benefiting a total of 55 farmers directly and indirectly.
Through the implementation of these key objectives and achievements, the W.E.Z. project is making significant progress in enhancing water availability, conserving natural resources, improving agricultural productivity, and uplifting the livelihoods of the rural community in Barud gram panchayat, Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh.
