Animal Husbandry


Facilitated treatment of more than 35000 animals through animal health camps, Dairy development with over 12000 families and creation of milk route (linkages with local and state level dairies). Promoted goatry (with backward & forward linkages) with more than 2500 families in tribal areas.


Arpan have been facilitated average milk production increase by 2.5 litres in buffalo and cow on daily basis along with achieving 43% success rate in artificial insemination for breed improvement. Focus has been given on Breed Improvement, Feed Management, Veterinary Services and housing of livestock. Regular animal health checkup camps for vaccination and treatment has been organising in convergence with Department of Animal Husbandry, GoR.


Arpan has been trained 20 Pashu Sakhi in Bhim and 20 Pashu Mitra in Sikar for providing door step first aid, vaccination and feed management services.


Arpan also focused on nutrition management programme for enhance cattle productivity. Under that Azolla cultivation has been demonstrated, silage making, balance animal feed, special herbal feed at time of pregnancy. Arpan has create market linkages for these farmers so that they can get proper return for their produce by establishing new milk routes and direct sell of bucks to wholesale market.


Arpan have implemented several development projects with such components which were funded by NABARD, RACP (Rajasthan Agriculture Competitiveness Project) World Bank funded through Agriculture Department- GoR and CSR partner(Dharampal Satyapal Group, Larsen & Toubro and Bosch India Foundation).
