The project starts with a mission to have small and marginal farmers participate in agricultural development by improving their access to better seeds and other inputs, increasing their knowledge of agronomic practices, establishing ease of access to credit and providing systematic market linkages. The main objective has remained to educate small and marginal farmers on the latest developments suited to their local needs, and thus ultimately improve their income.
We have been working in 10 states-Odisa, Maharastra, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana,WB, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Assam and Rajasthan. In Rajasthan Project, we are working in Alwar and Kota district.

This project has been collaborated with AgriBazaar for creating and incubating 1500 Agri- entrepreneurs from the district of Alwar, Kota and Tonk in 5 years. To increase the quality and feasibility SFI has collaborated with ArpanSevaSansthan for Rajasthan Project. SFI along with Arpan Seva Sansthan will be working closely in AE program in other districts of Rajasthan. SFI provides residential training to the selected rural youth. Screening and Selection of candidates are conducted in 4 steps such as Aptitude Test, Written Test, psychometric Test and Personal Interview. SFI will mentor and incubate these AE’s for the period of 2 years and ensure sustainable earning of their livelihood by working with local farmers. We are planning to work in Tonk,Karauli, Dausa and Alwar in collaboration with TATA Trust in next fiscal year.
Most of our AEs put their tremendous effort to help our farmers in selling their harvested agri-produce of Rabi season 2019-2020. Kota district has witnessed 945 MT of procurement followed by Wheat, Mustard and Barley. Where 175 farmers got benefited directly and the value of marketed agri-produce is INR 1.73 Cr. Alwar district has witnessed 81 MT of Mustard and Wheatprocurement through our AE networkwhere 23 farmers got benefited and the value of the agri- produce is INR 32.38 Lakh. In total 1026 MT of Agri-Produce is marketed which value is INR 2.05 Cr in Rajasthan Project. AEs have done campaigning on COVID-19 pandemic to create awareness among the farmers and reached up to 4454 farmers in Alwar and Kota area. Also, AEs distributed face mask to farmers in their village.
